Hello Folks,

After the challenges we shared with you in the last newsletter, we have been absolutely relishing the slower pace of the fall share, along with the early snow!

We have a smaller team right now, and we're actually having fun packing boxes and planning for the next season. We are all a bit tired, so we're looking forward to the Christmas break, but gosh, it has been a nice fall for us at the farm.

Because we finally have a moment to breathe, we’ve started sketching out what our year will look like in 2026. And we have some huge news.

WE HAVE A NEW PROJECT!!

We are renovating one of the heritage barns on our property to become the new home of our Farm Store and Café.

This is a daunting project that we've been talking about for years, but most of the stars aligned and it gave us the nudge we needed to make the jump. This renovation will give us more space in our commercial kitchen, meaning we can offer year-round farm-fresh meals, expanded grocery offerings, and finally—indoor and screened in space for you to enjoy a cuppah and a bite to eat!

CSA members will benefit by having discounts on all workshops, fancy farm dinners, and art/craft products in the store.

Our goal is to open by June 2026.

We have several ways that you will be able to be involved in this new project, so stay tuned!!

The 2026 CSA: One Season:June-december.

For 2026, we are simplifying and downsizing (slightly)!

Instead of a summer season + a fall season, we are running one continuous season from mid-June to December (26 weeks).

• No need to remember to signup for a new season!

• You can still take vacations!

• Important: We are committing to a smaller number of boxes per week next year to ensure quality and balance for our team. So sign up soon before you miss out!

• You can still customize your box!

• We will still have drop-offs throughout ottawa, Hull, Chelsea and La Peche.

• We still have great local add-ons like eggs, mushrooms and flowers!

• If you anticipate being away a lot we recommend paying by Visa.. you will only get charged for baskets delivered and no credit will be carried forward.

• If you want to pay upfront but know you are going to be away for X number of weeks, you can calculate how much you will owe and etransfer us with a note telling us why it does not match the full amount. IE. you can pay for 24 weeks instead of 26 but still signup for the whole season. Just know that if you do this and then do not go on vacation you may owe a bit at the end of the year.

We want to thank you for your ongoing support! We still love growing really good vegetables and selling them directly to our customers. This passion is at the heart of what we do, so thank you for being with us through the highs and lows — the spicy and the sweet!

We are all going bowling next week to celebrate the end of the season, and then we'll rest up to come back fresh for 2026.
