Hello friends of the Farm!!

We've been a bit quiet here because we really have been flat-out running since spring. Things have been HARD this year, for a number of reasons.. but that's for another post!!

This post is about all the exciting things we have coming up in the next couple of weeks!!

STUDIO TOUR

First of all, I ( Jess) am part of the Chelsea-Wakefield Studio Tour this year. This is an exciting oppourtunity to tour the beautiful Outaouis region and visit some amazing artists and artisans. Details are as follow:

I have been busy farming and parenting but have managed to sneak some time in the studio over the last couple of years to make some paintings.

I will also have premade wreaths for sale and a wreath bar!

We are cleaning out the big barn for this event. It's a wonderful space and I hope to see you there! the Cafe will be open so come by for a treat and tour of the art!

Since we're cleaning the barn out anyway we thought "Heck, lets add a couple more event to the roster".. because lord knows we have ample free time.. joking. We absolutely don't. But winter is coming so we've got to "make hay" as they say.

Harvest Dinner

3 course Harvest Dinner by Boulangerie Marcel.

Boulangerie Marcel is run by Devon and Dom out of our farm kitchen. They are extremely talented and have years of culinary experience including running Gray Jay and Buvette Daphne.

This will be a three course meal and with an optional wine pairing. We are only seating 30 people for this inaugral event, so reserve your tickets now!

Dinner Details:

October 4th, 2025

Farm tour with Robin and Jess (complimentary and optional): 4pm

Dinner start: 5pm

Cost: $100 plus tax

Wreath Making Workshop

Sunday, October 5th at 1pm.

Cost: $75.

We will have 15 spots for this workshop. Please reserve your spot by emailing us at Jess@rootsandshootsfarm.com

Thankgiving Centerpiece Workshop

Friday, October 9th at 1pm

Cost: $75 (plus tax)

Container (optional): $35

Using dried flowers and foraged material we will create a unique centrepiece for your Thanksgiving Table! We will have 10 spots for this workshop. We can provide a container ($35) or you can bring your own. A bowl like vase is best.
