2021 Garlic is ready and we need your help!!
Where: Roots and Shoots Farm
When: Friday, July 23rd, 2021 from 9am-2:30pm
Come for a couple hours or the whole day. We will break for lunch from 11:45-12:30
Things to bring:
Hat, closed-toe shoe or boots, long pants and shirt, gloves, water bottle, lunch/snacks.
Please note that, this year, the garlic field is about half a kilometer from the Farm Hub. You can drive down and park in the field, if it is dry enough, or bring your bike or walk.
Compensation:
For every hour you work you can grab $10 worth of veggies from our store. We have loads of pickling cukes, cukes, zukes, eggplants, tomatoes, basil and more! You can also pick your own flowers!
This is a nice opportunity to get outside, have some exercise and connect with the farm. It's a beautiful time of year and the weather looks perfect this friday!

* If we get a lot of people out and the garlic is done quickly we may get you to do some weeding. Also a very therapeutic farm activity :)
**Weather looks favourable so far. We will go ahead rain or shine with this work!
***for NINE O'clock arrivals: please park along the fence, just beside our "JARDIN DES MASHAM" sign, where our employees park. We will gather outside the farmstore at 9am and make our way to the garlic field from there.
If you are showing up later, you can find us in the field just as you come north over the hill from the 366 (Masham). there is a driveway there and a field for parking. If you can't find us, make your way to our farm-store area and someone will direct you where to go.
