It's the May Long Weekend Folks!

Firstly we'd like to thank everyone that came out last weekend for our Roots and Shoots Seedling Sale! It was a gorgeous sunny weekend and it was so great to see many familiar faces and CSA members. We had lots of folks from near and far make the trip- there were some seasoned gardeners with lists at the ready and first timers with lots of ideas and questions but the common theme was that everyone was KEEN to start growing!

We were hoping to make it to Ottawa for a city seedling sale but given the wild summery weather and the busy time getting set up for the summer CSA (along with some BIG NEWS to follow) we will have to rain check this time around. Our apologies! For those still looking to load up for their gardens, we will have lots more seedlings for sale this weekend Friday 1-5pm and Saturday and Sunday 10-3. Also in the shop will be the first asparagus of the season, along with rhubarb, kale, head lettuce and lots more goodies. Spring eating is here!

We have curb-side pick up available for our farm shop, just call or text your order to 819 870 2993 during store hours and we'll bring it out to you when you arrive. Easy!

And CSA customers- We're gearing up for another amazing season of vegetables. You'll be hearing from us in the next few weeks with details about pick up locations and times as well as all the info you'll need to get started with us this season. The "one month to great veg" countdown is on!

It been a big one at the farm this week with loads of planting- cucumbers, lettuces, beets, herbs and squash, rolling out geo-textile, setting up hoop houses and lots of cultivating. The sun and heat have been a big boost to get things really growing, things are looking good!

And the biggest news of this week: We have a new farm baby! Jess and Robin welcomed their little boy on May 12th, mama and baby are happy and healthy and resting up at home. Welcome to the world little guy!
