What is happening at the farm?

The snow is melting and it is officially spring! Or as we like to call it at the farm, Mud Season!

The main farm task this time of year is seeding. Hours and hours of seeding trays of onions, flowers, and seedlings for our plant sale. You can anticipate a variety of flowers, herbs and vegetables available for your home gardens during our plant sale in May. We will also have a fire for roasting hot dogs and a kids craft table for painting flower pots to take home. We are looking forward the occasion for an outdoor spring hangout with you!

In other news, we wrap up our winter CSA next week! A special shout-out to our wonderful CSA members and for their inspiring contributions on our CSA Facebook group over the last eight weeks.

We have spinach galore now that the days are longer and the crops are growing faster. We also have small quantities of chard and tender kale from the greenhouse along with a selection of greenhouse herbs. You can also find a variety of root vegetables in our farmstore. We are coming down to the last of our farm-made tomato puree and Thai hot sauce so now is the time to stock up!
