Click here to sign up for the Roots and Shoots Farm Share - Winter Deliveries are starting next Thursday the 17th!
About the Winter Share: The Winter Share is five deliveries starting Thursday, January 17th and continuing BIWEEKLY until March 14th. What's in the Winter Share: The choice is really fantastic in the winter share. There is a big selection of roots to choose from with free choice quarts like you enjoy now. Turnips, Celeriac, Parsnips, Fall Radish, Leeks, plus the good ol Carrots, Potatoes, Onions, Beets, Squash, Pumpkin, Cabbage, and more!!! Starting from the second delivery we will have either Spinach or micro greens in each delivery as well. How much does it cost? The Winter Share is $140, or $28 per week. Like the summer share, it is a 10-20% discount off of our market prices (which do go up a bit in the winter). It will be a little smaller than the fall share, which was $35/week. Where can I get it? You can pick up your fall share at the following locations: At the Farm, Zibi Condos, Constitution Square, Jack Purcell Community Centre, St Matthews Church (the Glebe), Bread by Us (Hintonburg), and Piggy Market (Westboro). You can also pick up at the Lansdowne Market!!! But what do I do with all these veggies? Good question! We send a newsletter with each delivery including recipes and cooking ideas for any unusual or exotic veggies in the share. Our website has tonnes of great recipes as well, and as a member you have access to our exclusive Roots and Shoots CSA Group, where our members share ideas and inspirations about how to turn our veg into delicious meals! Does it really end in March? It does but the Summer Share starts in Mid-June so that you can minimize the time you have to spend with imported, poor-quality, and not as delicious grocery store veggies!
