Happy Labour Day weekend!

There's a nip in the air this week and while we know the official start of fall isn't for a few weeks yet it sure feels autumnal on the farm! This switch of seasons has us busy doing lots of processing and canning of the bounty in our farm kitchen while most of our staff are going great guns bringing in the fall crops. Onions, carrots and beets have been coming into the barn and cold rooms in huge crates and the squash harvest is right around the corner. Our greenhouses and hoop houses won't be deterred though- we still have loads of tomatoes and peppers of every shape and colour. Such good eating to be had at this time of year!

This weekend at the farm!

Farm Tours! Come and pick up a map at the farm shop and take a wander around the field. See a working farm in action and learn about each step of the process with our snazzy new info signs. A lovely walk and a great way to teach folks young and old about organic farming

Pick your own ground cherries! If you know, you know about these tasty little morsels of sunshine, great for eating fresh, making jams, desserts and freezing for winter eating. Come and fill your own containers or pick up some quarts at the shop

Pick your own flowers! Though perhaps not as much as Jess, she can get a little carried away in the flower patch! :) Fill a yogurt container for $15 and get creative with colour!

Bulk granola! Our friends from Ferme et Forêt will be here on Sunday from 11-3 baking their awesome granola, come and fill your own container and save on the retail price

The shop is open Friday 1-5 and Saturday and Sunday 10-3 and will be loaded with all the great veg from the farm- tomatoes, roma tomatoes for bulk canning, peppers, eggplants, ground cherries, beets, carrots, onions, garlic, kale, greens, herbs and loads more. New organic and pasture raised chicken, pork and lamb in the freezers, QC cheeses and local kombucha and farm eggs in the fridge. Find us at 115 Ch de la Beurrerie, La Pêche QC
